Frans and I will be going to Reykjavik at the end of October to present Career Writing. We were invited by our Icelandic colleagues after presenting at the International Association for Educational and Vocational Guidance in Madrid in November 2016.
The topics we’ll be presenting and the workshops we’ll be giving answer questions like: How do we make career conversations and practices truly meaningful for the 21st century world of work? What is different about these methods from traditional approaches and why are they needed now? How is imagination a key point in developing narratives?
We’ll invite our colleagues to try creative, expressive, and reflective writing exercises and once they have some foundation in experience, we’ll talk about the theory of identity formation in the career context.
We are looking forward. Earlier this year we were in Finland for a similar project.
